I am so excited to have returned to my alma mater! Math is about more than learning algorithms or memorizing facts. It teaches you to think critically, to solve problems, and to communicate concisely and logically, as well as helping you to develop persistence in problem solving.
I've always loved math and as an undergraduate studied Math and History at John Carroll University. I spent one year doing post-graduate volunteer work with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps: Northwest in Ashland, MT, working at St. Labre Indian School. I have also lived in Berlin, Germany (for six months) and worked in an analytical test lab before returning to JCU for my M.Ed. While completing my M.Ed, I spent a year in the Cleveland schools.
